Why is it called a \u201cCollegiate Church\u201d?<\/h2>\n

Some people think it could be because it is part of a school, however, a collegiate church has a different distinction from other temples.<\/p>\n

A collegiate church is a Catholic church that, while not a cathedral, has a chapter. The person who governs the church is called the dean, although occasionally they are also called... abbot<\/i>\u00a0either\u00a0prior<\/i>.<\/p>\n
